Dragan Bozic
Master of Fine Art
Dragan has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Sarajevo. He is native of Sarajevo and has been an active painter since 1969 creating works of art in various painting techniques. Dragan studied with Professor Mersad Berber and Radoslav Tadic at the Academy of Arts in Sarajevo commencing his trip through the artistic dimension of time and space, Dragan created large format paintings in oil, soon to concentrate on the creation of artist drawings in pencil and ink.
After maturing in these techniques, on his artistic path to the present, he created works of art in the graphic technique, culminating with the silk screen print. Dragan was ultimately very successful with this particular artistic expression for more than forty years. During this period of artistic existence. “He was immensely moved by the literary accomplishment and brilliance of the Serbian Nobel Prize laureate for literature, Ivo Andric. From that era, Dragan’s paintings became a painter’s vision of Andric’s written word thus combining these to exceptional expressions into one.
Prior to coming to Canada in 1993, Dragan’s travels trough the artistic dimension of time and space brought him back to creating artistic paintings in oil.
